Lana has been part of TSSM’s Art & Technology team since 2025. She is an extremely passionate teacher who enjoys seeing her students achieve their learning outcomes while scoring impressive study scores.

Lana has taught senior Art Making & Exhibiting and Art Creative Practice since 2023, giving her extensive experience in these subjects. Prior to commencing teaching, Lana’s previous background in textiles and design has given her specific fundamentals that she utilises to engage the students with the concepts of art in a simplified form, being able to aid with their understanding come exam time.

Lana is a motivated teacher who makes use of available resources to enhance and improve her teaching abilities so her students can continue to excel.

Lana has a unique background as she has a BTS & Masters in Fashion and Textile Design, which dovetails with her love of crafting items of clothing and other pieces of fashion, an expertise which she is able to share with her students.

Lana also plays an important role in producing high quality VCE resources used by many teachers and students in Art Creative Practice and Art Making & Exhibiting for TSSM.

Teaching Philosophy:

Lana's teaching philosophy is centered on student choice and agency. Lana advocates for students to learn through personal explorations of topic or issues that are real-life based.
