Systems Engineering Teach Yourself Video Series

Our exclusive Teach Yourself Video Series for Systems Engineering contains many critical topics.

Our teachers have identified the most important topics that need a high level of understanding to ensure success in Units 1 to 4 Systems Engineering. With this identified, they have created detailed topic reviews, questions and corresponding explanations in a comprehensive video tutorial format to assist students.

This video series is designed to emphasise and consolidate the critical aspects of each topic ensuring that students are learning, remembering and understanding the key content examined by the VCAA.  Rather than just reading the topic in the Teach Yourself Series and attempting the review questions, students now have the opportunity to receive a detailed and thorough video tutorial on each key topic, taking their learning and consolidation of each topic to new heights.

The Teach Yourself Video Series for Systems Engineering has been created for the study design and includes the following topics:

  • Topic 1 - The Systems Engineering process (Units 1, 2, 3 & 4)
  • Topic 2 - Mechanical components (Units 1, 2, 3 & 4)
  • Topic 3 - Mechanical Engineering Concepts (Units 1, 2, 3 & 4)
  • Topic 4 - Mechanical Engineering Principles (Units 1, 2, 3 & 4)
  • Topic 5 - Systems Energy (Units 1, 2, 3 & 4)
  • Topic 6 - Mechanical Calculations (Units 1, 2, 3 & 4)
  • Topic 7 - Electrical Calculations (Units 1, 2, 3 & 4)
  • Topic 8 - Electrotechnological Components and their operation (Units 1, 2, 3 & 4)
  • Topic 9 - Characteristics and Properties of Materials (Units 1, 2, 3 & 4)

*The release date for all new Teach Yourself Video Series (TYS-VS) will be February 5, 2021. Advance orders are welcomed!

All Teach Yourself Video Series are issued to the purchasing school on a license basis, expiring at the end of the current study design for each subject. This means that access to the TYS-VS beyond the current study design will require another purchase of the resource from the school.
