At TSSM students will be able to attend our classes at TSSM's VCE Centre in Melbourne or attend the classes on TSSM's Live and Online Platform, ensuring that those who are unable or unwilling to travel into the city will still have access to our exceptional VCE programs and excellent teachers.

TSSM’s September Holiday Units 3 and 4 English Exam Preparation Program addresses all 3 sections of the official English Exam including:

1. Section A (Text response – One third of the English examination).
   
   Students are given the opportunity to attend a detailed review of one or more of their chosen texts (from VCAA’s Text List 1) for 2 hours. TSSM covers all 20 texts from Text List 1.
    
2. Section B (Comparative Text – One third of the English examination).
   
   Students are given the opportunity to attend a detailed review of their comparative text (from VCAA’s Text List 2) for 4.5 hours. Students should note that in their examination they will be expected to write on the comparative text.
    
3. Section C (Analysis of language use - One third of the English examination).
   
   Students are advised to attend TSSM’s Analysis of language use session (2 hours) which will hone in on their language analysis skills.

All the Light We Cannot See - Exam Preparation

Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and creating texts; Analysing argument; Reading and comparing texts; and Presenting argument. This two hour session on All the Light We Cannot See will focus on section A of the English exam. The text response component is worth one-third of the total assessment for the examination and therefore attending this component is critical.

Analysing Argument - Exam Preparation

Students will be encouraged to develop a practical grasp of all Units 3 and 4 Areas of Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and creating texts; Analysing argument; Reading and comparing texts; and Presenting argument.

Much Ado About Nothing - Exam Preparation

Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and creating texts; Analysing argument; Reading and comparing texts; and Presenting argument. This two hour session on Much Ado About Nothing will focus on section A of the English exam. The text response component is worth one-third of the total assessment for the examination and therefore attending this component is critical.

Nine Days - Exam Preparation

Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and creating texts; Analysing argument; Reading and comparing texts; and Presenting argument. This two hour session on Nine Days will focus on section A of the English exam. The text response component is worth one-third of the total assessment for the examination and therefore attending this component is critical.

Paired Comparison - Photograph 51 / My Brilliant Career - Exam Preparation

Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and creating texts; Analysing argument; Reading and comparing texts; and Presenting argument. This four and a half hour session on Photograph 51 / My Brilliant Career will focus on section B of the English exam, Paired Comparisons. This component is worth one-third of the total assessment for the examination and therefore attending this component is critical.

Paired Comparison - The 7 Stages of Grieving / The Longest Memory - Exam Preparation

Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and creating texts; Analysing argument; Reading and comparing texts; and Presenting argument. This four and a half hour session on The 7 Stages of Grieving / The Longest Memory will focus on section B of the English exam, Paired Comparisons. This component is worth one-third of the total assessment for the examination and therefore attending this component is critical.

Paired Comparison - The Crucible / The Dressmaker - Exam Preparation

Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and creating texts; Analysing argument; Reading and comparing texts; and Presenting argument. This four and a half hour session on The Crucible / The Dressmaker will focus on section B of the English exam, Paired Comparisons.
