Physics Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) - Units 1 and 2*

Our Physics Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are written by experienced VCE teachers, who are also VCE Exam Assessors.These tasks are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format. A variety of tasks are available for both Unit 1 and Unit 2.

Students are not permitted to order these tasks.

The Physics Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only.

TSSM's Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) are prepared for schools to address the key assessment areas of the Physics curriculum, providing schools with a valuable resource for assessing both the Core and Options specified within the VCAA Study Design for Physics.  All tasks are supplied with full solutions.

Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) for Physics have been prepared for both Units 1 and 2. The following packages are available to schools:

Unit 1 Package includes 6 tasks -

Outcome 1 or Areas of Study 1 (Two options included):

1. An analysis including calculations of physics concepts applied to real world contexts
2. Reflective annotations related to one or more practical activities from a log book

Outcome 2 or Areas of Study 2 (Two options included):

1. A physics referenced response to an issue or innovation
2. An analysis, including calculations, of physics concepts applied to real-world contexts

Outcome 3 for Areas of Study 3 (Two options included):

1. A problem solving involving physics concepts and/or skills
2. An analysis and evaluation of generated primary and/or collated secondary data

Unit 2 Package includes 3 tasks -

Outcomes 1 for Areas of Study 1 (Two options included):

1. Reflective annotations related to one or more practical activities from a log book
2. An analysis and evaluation of generated primary and/or collated secondary data

Outcome 3 for Areas of Study 3 (One option included):

1. Scientific poster

Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (One SAC for your selected Option is included - Only one Option can be selected in this package, however, if you would like to order additional Options, this will incur an additional $45.00 each.  Click here to add the additional Options individually):

These packages are provided to schools giving teachers a degree of flexibility in the assessment tasks they set for their students.  While TSSM thoroughly checks the accuracy and relevance of these Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET), prior to assessing students, it is the individual school's responsibility to ensure that these are an appropriate form of assessment.

*Unit 1 Targeted Evaluation Tasks (TET) will be released on February 7, 2024 and Unit 2 will be released on May 22, 2024. Orders made in advance are welcome.
