With a team of four professional Specialist Mathematics teachers, three of whom are current VCE Assessors, we are able to provide students with nine intensive programs throughout the year.

Summer School - Head Start to Unit 3
Students will achieve a practical understanding of all Unit 3 Areas of Study including; Functions, Relations and Graphs (including circular functions); Algebra (including complex numbers); Calculus (differential and integral); and Vectors.
Our detailed Summer School Specialist Mathematics Program is eight hours in length and held over two days at RMIT University, City Campus.
This program highlights the key areas of Unit 1 and 2 Mathematics which are critical in giving students a head start to Unit 3 studies and SACs for Specialist Mathematics. Unit 3 content will be covered in detail over the two days with an emphasis on problem solving strategies and the practical application of mathematical concepts to SACs and examination style questions.
This program is designed to ensure that students are ready to tackle Unit 3 material with confidence, and to improve the skills necessary to perform well in this Unit. This program is conducted in a friendly classroom atmosphere, with a limit of forty students per class this ensures that students can ask questions.

Unit 3 - 12 Week Intensive Target Classes
Students will be given a complete study of all Unit 3 Areas of Study including; Functions, Relations and Graphs (including circular functions); Algebra (partial fractions and complex numbers); Calculus (differential, integral and differential equations); and Vectors.
Our 12 Week Intensive Specialist Mathematics Target Class is twenty-eight hours in length and held at RMIT University, City Campus.
This program covers all Unit 3 content in detail and focuses on the application of theory to examination style questions necessary for peak performance in Unit 3 Specialist Mathematics SACs as well as the final examinations. Students will be able to sharpen their skills by completing an extensive range of examination style questions throughout the course.
Students will be in groups with similar task oriented students in a friendly classroom atmosphere. With a limit of only eight to twelve students per class, this ensures that students can really develop.

Unit 3 - Easter Holiday Program
Students will be given a detailed review of all Unit 3 Areas of Study including; Functions, Relations and Graphs (including circular functions); Algebra (partial fractions and complex numbers); Calculus (differential, integral and differential equations); and Vectors.
Our Easter Holiday Specialist Mathematics Program is eight hours in length and held at RMIT University, City Campus.
The objective of this program is to give students a detailed overview of the entire Unit 3 Specialist Mathematics course content, with particular emphasis on examination related questions.
Students will be given ample opportunity to complete examination style questions during the program and get feedback on the solutions.
This will enable students to enhance their skills when approaching examination style questions making them more efficient in the official examinations.
This program is conducted in a friendly classroom atmosphere. With a limit of forty students per class, this ensures that students can really develop.

Winter School - Head Start to Unit 4
Students will achieve a practical understanding of all Unit 4 Areas of Study including; Calculus (differential, integral, differential equations and kinematics: rectilinear motion); Vector Calculus; and Mechanics.
Our detailed Winter School Specialist Mathematics Program is five hours in length and held at RMIT University, City Campus. This program highlights the key areas which are critical in giving students a head start to Unit 4 studies and SACs for Specialist Mathematics.

Our 15 Week Intensive Specialist Mathematics Exam Revision Program is thirty-four hours in length and held at RMIT University, City Campus. This program covers all Unit 3 and 4 content in detail and focuses on the application of theory to examination style questions necessary for peak performance in the Specialist Mathematics final examination. Students will be able to sharpen their skills by completing an extensive range of examination style questions.
During Weeks 12 to 15, students will sit four trial examination papers under strict examination conditions. Two of the trial examinations will be based on Written Exam 1 (technology free examination) and two will be based on Written Exam 2 (technology enabled examination).
These trial examination papers are prepared adhering to VCAA guidelines and specifications, ensuring students receive a realistic indication of the official VCAA examinations.
Students will be grouped with similar task oriented students in a friendly classroom atmosphere. With a limit of only eight to twelve students per class, this ensures that students can really develop.

Our 4.5 Hour Specialist Mathematics Exam Revision Program is held at RMIT University, City Campus.
This program will give students a quick overview of the entire course, however the emphasis of the program will be to cover as many examination style questions as possible, whilst highlighting common examination pitfalls and the assessor’s tips on how to approach and complete the examinations within the given time frame.
Although not compulsory, TSSM recommends that students will benefit most from this program if they attend the September Holiday Program for Specialist Mathematics.
This program is conducted in a friendly small lecture atmosphere. With a limit of eighty students per lecture, students will be encouraged to ask questions.

Unit 4 - 3.5 Hour Final Program (Regional Only)
Students will achieve a complete and practical exam revision of all Unit 3 and 4 Areas of Study including, Functions, Relations and Graphs (including circular functions); Algebra (including complex numbers); Calculus (differential, integral, differential equations and kinematics: rectilinear motion); Vectors (including vector calculus) and Mechanics.
Our 3.5 Hour Specialist Mathematics Exam Revision Program is a slightly condensed version of the 4.5 Hour Exam Revision Program, created specifically for regional students.
This program is held in Bendigo at Bendigo Senior Secondary College (Senior Campus); in Ballarat at The University of Ballarat (Mt. Helen Campus); and in Gippsland at Monash University (Gippsland Campus, Churchill).
This program will give students a quick overview of the entire course. The emphasis of the program will be to cover as many examination style questions as possible, whilst highlighting common examination pitfalls and the assessor’s tips on how to approach and complete the examinations within the given time frame.
This program is conducted in a friendly small lecture atmosphere. With a limit of eighty students per lecture, students will be encouraged to ask questions.
