Mathematical Methods

At TSSM we cover VCE Mathematical Methods in more detail than any other educational institute in Victoria.

With a team of six professional Mathematical Methods teachers, four of whom are current VCE Assessors, we are able to provide students with nine intensive programs throughout the year.

Unit 4 - 15 Week Intensive Target Classes

Students will be given a full revision on all Unit 3 and 4 Areas of Study including; Functions and Graphs (including circular functions); Algebra (including logarithm laws, factorisation and inverse functions); Calculus (differential); and Probability.

Our 15 Week Intensive Mathematical Methods Exam Revision Program is thirty-four hours in length and held at RMIT University, City Campus.

This program covers all Unit 3 and 4 content in detail and focuses on the application of theory to examination style questions necessary for peak performance in the Mathematical Methods final examinations.

Students will be able to sharpen their skills by completing an extensive range of examination style questions throughout the program.

During Weeks 12 to 15, students will sit four trial examination papers under strict examination conditions. Two of the trial examinations will be based on Written Exam 1 (technology free examination) and two will be based on Written Exam 2 (technology enabled examination).

These trial examination papers are prepared adhering to VCAA guidelines and specifications, ensuring that students receive a realistic indication of the official VCAA examinations.

Students will be grouped with similar task oriented students in a friendly classroom atmosphere. With a limit of only eight to twelve students per class, this ensures that students can really develop.
