Summer School - Head Start to Unit 3
Students will develop a detailed knowledge of all Unit 3 Areas of Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and responding; Creating and presenting; and Using Language to Persuade.
Our detailed Summer School English Program is eight hours in length and held over two days at RMIT University, City Campus.
This program focuses on; analysing issues, essay writing and oral communication skills; all of which are critical aspects of Unit 3 studies and SACs for English. This program is designed to ensure that students are ready to tackle Unit 3 material with confidence as well as to improve the skills necessary to perform well in this Unit.
This program is conducted in a friendly classroom atmosphere with a limit of forty students per class, ensuring that students can clarify difficult concepts.

Unit 3 - 12 Week Intensive Target Classes
Students will develop a detailed knowledge of all Unit 3 Areas of Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and responding; Creating and presenting; and Using Language to Persuade. As part of this program, TSSM will cover the entire 2008 English Text Lists. Students will be able to select one text from Text List 1 and one text from Text List 2 to study in detail during the course.
Our 12 Week Intensive English Target Class is twenty-eight hours in length and held at RMIT University, City Campus. This program focuses on the practical development of essay writing and the analytical skills necessary for peak performance in Unit 3 English SACs as well as the final examination.
Students will be able to sharpen their writing and analytical skills with a group of similar task oriented students, in a friendly classroom atmosphere. With a limit of only eight to twelve students per class this ensures that students can develop their full potential.

Winter School - Head Start to Unit 4
Students will be encouraged to develop a practical grasp of all Unit 4 Areas of Study including; Reading and the Study of Texts (appropriate technical and general vocabulary; methods of analysing complex texts; and techniques for creating specific effects); as well as The Craft of Writing.
Our detailed Winter School English Program is five hours in length and held over two days at RMIT University, City Campus.
This program is an essay writing workshop which enables students to develop the essay writing skills necessary for their success in Unit 4 studies and SACs for English. This program is designed to ensure that students are ready to tackle Unit 4 material with confidence, and to improve essay writing skills which are necessary to perform well in this Unit.
This program is conducted in a friendly classroom atmosphere with a limit of forty students per class ensuring that students can hone in on developing these skills.

Unit 4 - 12 Week Intensive Program
Students will develop a detailed knowledge of all Unit 3 and 4 Areas of Study under the new Study Design including; Reading and responding; Creating and presenting; and Using Language to Persuade. As part of this program, TSSM will cover the entire 2008 English Text Lists. Students will be able to select one text from Text List 1 and two texts from Text List 2 to study in detail during the course.
Our 12 Week Intensive English Exam Revision Program is twenty-eight hours in length and held at RMIT University, City Campus. This program focuses on the practical development of essay writing and text analysis skills necessary for peak performance in Unit 4 English SACs and the final examination.
Students will be able to sharpen their understanding of the three texts that they wish to focus on with a group of similar task oriented students. This program will also review all key aspects of the Units 3 & 4 English syllabus paying particular attention to the writing task component needed for the final examination.
This program is conducted in a friendly classroom atmosphere with a limit of only eight to twelve students per class. This ensures that students can really develop and focus on the final examination.

Unit 4 - September Holiday Program
Students will be encouraged to develop a practical grasp of all Unit 3 and 4 Areas of Study including Reading and the Study of Texts (comprehension, analysis and evaluation of texts and issues within texts; appropriate technical and general vocabulary; methods of analysing complex texts; and techniques for creating specific effects); as well as The Craft of Writing.
Our September Holiday English Program is held at RMIT University (City Campus).
This program is divided into two parts; a two hour writing task component focused on section 2 of the final English examination; and a two hour text review on each of the thirty-one English texts, which concentrates on Section 1 of the final English examination. Students will be able to choose which texts they wish to cover thoroughly.
This program is conducted in a friendly classroom atmosphere with a limit of forty students per class. This ensures that students can really develop and focus on these two sections of the final examination.

Unit 4 - 4.5 Hour Final Program
Students will be encouraged to develop a practical grasp of all Unit 3 and 4 Areas of Study including Reading and the Study of Texts (comprehension, analysis and evaluation of texts and issues within texts; appropriate technical and general vocabulary; methods of analysing complex texts; and techniques for creating specific effects); as well as The Craft of Writing.
The 4.5 Hour Exam Revision Program will be an essay writing workshop. Students will be instructed on essay writing for the final examination including; the writing task; and general essay structures for the text components. In this program specific English texts will not be covered.

Unit 4 - 3.5 Hour Final Program (Regional Only)
Students will be encouraged to develop a practical grasp of all Unit 3 and 4 Areas of Study including; Reading and the Study of Texts (comprehension, analysis and evaluation of texts and issues within texts; appropriate technical and general vocabulary; methods of analysing complex texts; and techniques for creating specific effects); as well as The Craft of Writing.
Our 3.5 Hour English Exam Revision Program is a slightly condensed version of the 4.5 Hour Exam Revision Program, created specifically for regional students.
This program is held in Bendigo at Bendigo Senior Secondary College (Senior Campus); in Ballarat at The University of Ballarat (Mt. Helen Campus); and in Gippsland at Monash University (Gippsland Campus, Churchill).
