Physics Unit 1 - The 'Advantage 8+' Classes - Intensive Weekly Tutorials

Students will be given a full revision on all Unit 1 Core Areas of Study including; How can thermal effects be explained?; How do electric circuits work?; and What is matter and how is it formed?

Each weekly tutorial class addresses the finer details of the VCAA Study Design. This ensures that students receive the most in depth examination preparation possible.  Weekly sessions run for 3 hours and will thoroughly revise all examinable Areas of Study in Unit 1 Physics. 

Each week our expert teachers will encourage students to ask questions to clarify any area that require more attention.  Our teachers will systematically and comprehensively review the weekly content, examination style questions and any School-assessed Coursework that the students need to go over.

Each student will have as much time as they need to receive a comprehensive exam preparation of Unit 1 or Unit 3 content.  TSSM is committed to offering as many additional classes as required and we will extend class times when students require extra contact time with our expert teachers.  


Repeat Classes

In addition students will have the opportunity to attend repeat classes as required. This is helpful when students need more instruction on a particular concept or topic.

Part I

Strategies for Success Seminar

'Maximise your ATAR' (8 hours)

Prior to the weekly classes commencing, students are encouraged to attend a specifically designed seminar that will provide them with the necessary skills, mindset and strategies to help then with their SACs and examinations.
 

Part II

Intensive Weekly Tutorial Classes

Weeks 1 to 8: 3 hours per week for 8 Weeks (24 hours)

Students will be given a progressive and detailed revision of the subject content. The examinable topics will be addressed systematically and students will complete examination style questions weekly. A week by week description for the Physics Intensive Tutorial Classes is shown below:

In this 2 hour session you will learn the essential techniques and strategies used by high performing students to achieve elite results in their exams.

From high level exam skills and powerful study habits to how to maximise your time before and during the exam, you too can conquer the exams!
 


Add 'Extension 17' Classes (an additional 17 hours):

Students wanting a more extensive course for Physics are encouraged to enrol into the 'Advantage 8+' AND 'Extension 17' Classes. This additional 17 hours of tuition time with our expert VCE teachers, provided by adding the 'Extension 17' classes, will include:

  • FREE Subject Specific Exam Revision Day (9 hours)
  • Subject Mastery and Consolidation Session (8 hours)
