Our Mathematical Methods (CAS) Targeted Evaluation Tasks are the combined work of two experienced VCE teachers who are Exam Assessors. These tasks are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format. A variety of tasks are available for both Unit 1 and Unit 2.
Students are not permitted to order these tasks.
The Mathematical Methods (CAS) Targeted Evaluation Tasks are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only.
TSSM's Targeted Evaluation Tasks are designed to address all of the key areas of the Mathematical Methods (CAS) Study Design, providing schools with an invaluable resource for assessing the coursework component outlined specifically by the VCAA for Mathematical Methods (CAS). All tasks are supplied with full solutions.
Targeted Evaluation Tasks for Mathematical Methods (CAS) have been prepared for both Unit 1 and 2. The following packages are available to schools:

Unit 2 Package includes 6 tasks -
Three Tests (Outcome 1):
1. Multiple choice and extended response test of Circular Functions
2. Short answer and technology free test on Calculus
3. Short answer and technology free test on Probability
& One Test (multiple choice and extended response-Outcomes 1 & 3)
1. On Probability
& One Modelling (Application) Task and One Problem-solving (Analysis) Task (Outcomes 2 and 3)
1. Modelling (Application) task on Circular Functions
2. Problem-solving (Analysis) task on Calculus
These packages are provided to schools giving teachers a degree of flexibility in the assessment tasks they set for their students. While TSSM thoroughly checks the accuracy and relevance of these Targeted Evaluation Tasks, prior to assessing students, it is the individual school's responsibility to ensure that these are an appropriate form of assessment.
