Our IT Applications Targeted Evaluation Tasks have been written by a specialist VCE IT Applications teacher. These tasks are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format. A variety of tasks are available for Units 3 and 4.
Students are not permitted to order these tasks.
The IT Applications Targeted Evaluation Tasks are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only.
TSSM's Targeted Evaluation Tasks are designed to address the key assessment areas of the IT Applications Study Design. These tasks are an invaluable resource for schools to assess students on the coursework requirements for Unit 3 and 4 IT Applications. All tasks are supplied with full solutions and response guides.
Targeted Evaluation Tasks for IT Applications have been prepared for both Unit 3 and 4. The following packages are available to schools:
Unit 3 Package includes 5 tasks -
Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (Two option included):
1. Solution and Information product in response to a design brief (Prototype website)
2. Short-answer test
& Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Three options included):
1. Design and development of a solution
2. Written report
3. Test
Unit 4 Package includes 4 tasks -
Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (One option included):
1. Solution and information product in response to a design brief (spreadsheet task including on-screen user documentation and a visual representation of the decision-making)
2. Written report
& Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Two options included):
1. Test on organisation and information needs
2. Written report on information management
These tasks provide teachers with a degree of flexibility when setting assessment tasks for their students. While TSSM thoroughly checks the accuracy and relevance of these Targeted Evaluation Tasks, prior to assessing students, it is the individual school's responsibility to ensure that these are an appropriate form of assessment.
