English Context Summary NotesOur English Context Summary Notes have been written by experienced, senior VCE English teachers who have both studied and taught the various texts that make up each of the 4 new English Contexts. Rather than simply summarising each text, our Context summary notes are organised into three broad yet comprehensive sections focusing on both the overall context and the way in which each of the four individual texts relates to the context, as well as providing students with additional material to assist in their preparation for assessment tasks and the final examination.
The first section looks at the overall context under the following headings:
- Understanding the Context
- Background
- Themes and Issues Related to the Context
The second section looks at each of the 4 texts in turn by detailing the following for each text:
- Themes
- Structure
- Style
- Characters
- Important Quotations
The third section provides students with assessment and exam preparation material as follows:
- Sample Essay Prompts
- Supplementary Texts
- Final Examination Advice
- Glossary
- References
TSSM offers thorough English Context Summary Notes for each of the following VCE English contexts:
- The Imaginitive Landscape
- Whose Reality?
- Encountering Conflict
- Exploring Issues of Identity and Belonging
