Our Business Management Targeted Evaluation Tasks are the collaborated efforts of two experienced VCE teachers, one of whom is an Exam Assessor. These tasks are available exclusively to schools and are available in electronic or hardcopy format.

Students are not permitted to order these tasks.

The Business Management Targeted Evaluation Tasks are offered to schools copyright free for the restricted use of students of that school only.

TSSM's Targeted Evaluation Tasks are designed to target the key assessment components  of the Business Management Study Design.  These tasks provide a valuable resource with which schools can assess the coursework requirements of Unit 1 and 2 Business Management.  All tasks are supplied with response guides.

Targeted Evaluation Tasks for Business Management have been prepared for both Unit 1 and 2.  The following packages are available to schools:

Unit 1 Package includes 8 tasks -  

Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (Two options included):

1. Case study of a business success story

2. Media analysis examining the issues that small businesses face

& Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Two options included):

1. Development of a business plan 

2. Business simulation exercise

& Outcome 3 for Area of Study 3 (Four options included): 

1. Report on future development and growth in small business

2. Practical exercises on introductory accounting for small business

3. Case study on management of staff in small business

4. Essay on information and communications technologies in small business

Unit 2 Package includes 5 tasks - 

Outcome 1 for Area of Study 1 (One option included):

1. Essay on the use of communication methods in the school and assessing their effectiveness 

& Outcome 2 for Area of Study 2 (Two options included) 

1.Case study

2. Test

& Outcome 3 for Area of Study 3 (Two options included)

These tasks provide teachers with a degree of flexiblity when setting assessment tasks for their students.  While TSSM thoroughly checks the accuracy and relevance of these Targeted Evaluation Tasks, prior to assessing students, it is the individual school's responsibility to ensure that these are an appropriate form of assessment.
